Bare Minerals Complexion Kit Review

I've considered buying Bare Minerals foundation for a while but was put of somewhat for a while, but when i was in Edinburgh Debenhams i decided to take the plunge and buy the 'Get Started Complexion Kit'. It contains three brushes:

The Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush:

I found this brush really good for concealer, i don't think the foundation works that well as a concealer but the brush is really good and i use that with the Benefit Erase Paste.

The second brush is the Flawless Face Brush:

You can use this brush for your foundation to give a light to medium coverage but i prefer slightly more that this so use this brush for my blusher or bronzer and it is really useful for those.

And finally the last brush is the Flawless Face Brush:

I use the Full Flawless Face brush for my foundation as it gives more of a medium to high coverage. I like the feel and quality of the brush, it works well for the purpose.

You also get two Bare Minerals Foundations, some 'warmth' powder to make you look bronzed and tanned, summer bisque which is used to brighten the face and also Mineral Veil which is used to hold your makeup on.

I actually really like the Bare Minerals foundation and i would recommend buying it if you are looking to try a mineral foundation.

e.l.f. Lipstick Review

I have only recently discovered what is the little gem of e.l.f. cosmetics. I was trawling the internet for some good value quality makeup and came across the e.l.f. webiste. Although at first i was almost put off becuase of the prices being so reasonable, i assumed it was either a con or low quality makeup. Boy was i wrong!

The packaging is the best quality but the actual look of it is very appealing! I bought a fair few things on my first order and the one that stood out for me was the lipstick.

I bought the lipstick in 'seductive' (as seen below) and it is a very natural looking pinky- red with a slightly matte feel to it. I have used it regularly since it arrived and i'm sure it will become a staple in my listick collection!

Summary: Definitely check out e.l.f. cosmetics and if you do, buy a lipstick it's well worth your while!

Benefit's justine case Review

I bought the justine case set about a month ago, and i have been using it as a travel kit along with my normal makeup i carry around with me and i have to say that i am very impressed.

I really like most of benefit's products so its not a surpise but this is great! Here is a picture of the 'kit':

It contains california kissin' lipgloss which is the blue lipgloss that it supposed to make your teeth look whiter. I don't know whether it made any difference to the whiteness of my teeth but the minty flavour was really tasty and made my lips feel plumped.

It also had eyecon, which is supposed to be used under the eyes to conceal dark circles, it doesn't conceal dark ciricles really well but the consistence of it is really good.

The third item it contains is benetint which is my favourite product is the set, it says you can use it as a lip and cheek tint, but i don't feel it works as a cheek tint. It is really great to just make your lips look a little redder but still natural.

The final product in the kit is the some kind-a gorgeous foundation faker. I have found this really useful for on the go, when i haven't got time to apply concealer properly i just get out the kit and touch up my makeup.

It is pricey for £23.50 but i would say that is definitely worth the money. I think i will be buying another kit soon!

John Frieda Precision Foam Colour Review

I don't normally do reviews for anything other than makeup but i thought i'd make an exeption since i really want to recommend this.

I tried the colour out yesterday afternoon (deep cherry brown), i have been wanting to try a new colour for a while but i hadn't found one that i loved. Wheni saw this i had to try it out! I was a bit skeptical how id would turn out since i'd had some of my hair bleached but the colour is not pachy at all and i really love the colour.

It is a new way of DIY hair dying as it is with foam, it comes in a box containing a colourant, a developer, some gloves and some conditioner. The amount of product more than enough, for the lenght of my hair i was supposed to use the whole bottle but i used two thirds and that was plenty. I only left the colour on for 20 minutes becuase obviously since im 15 i have no greys ( well i hope not!) and it came out much better than i was expecting!

After i'd rinsed my hair until the water ran clear i used the conditioner provided and left it on for approximately 5 mins then rinsed it again. After i had dryed my hair it felt lovely and soft and looked very shiny.

Another good point was that there is enough conditioner left for another 4 uses (approx.) and it is supposed to make the colour last longer and stay shiny. (the colour is 28 washes) The price is aprroximately £10 but in Tesco atm the price is £6.66, so buy it quick!

All in all if you want to dye your hair at home i would recommend it, it is quick although messy but the results are great!

p.s.I'll upload photos later

Benefit's BADgal eye pencil review

I got this a fair while ago but i have been using it ever since. The packaging is really pretty, with the black lid and bottom and pink pencil. I really like it, normally when i use eyeliner i have to draw a little bit to start the colour coming out fully but with this as soon as you start to apply it the colours comes out. The colour is a really almost charcoaly black, it looks really good with gold eyeshadow! This is a picture of BAD gal eye liner:

I would really recommend this as i have been using it regularly for a couple of months now and it looks as if its been harly touched, although it is quite pricey (£14) i think it is worth it for the amount and quality of the product you get.

MAC Bare Study Paint Pot Review

I have a few MAC products but i have never tried a paint pot before but i'm glad i have now. I love love love the colour, and the staying power is great! Another reason i love this is it can be used as a base/primer to make youre eye eyeshadow stay on longer and with less creases or it can be used as a subtle every day colour. This is a swatch of bare study:

I think the next paint pot i'll be buying will be Rubenesque, becuase i tried this out at the counter and also loved the colour, it's orangey with golden and brown undertones. This would also look great with bare study: bare study all over the lid and rubenesque in the crease.
If you are unsure about investing in a paint pot, i would advise you to take the plunge, have fun!

MAC Zoom Lash Review

I have been using this for a couple of months now on and off, and considering the bad reviews i have heard of MAC mascara it's been good for me. This is an image showing a before and after woth the mascara:

To me this is a good mascara for lengthening because the texture is almost rubbery. It covers well and is very black but is not a volumizing mascara. This is what the tube looks like, and like all MAC product it uses the sleek monochrome theme:
